Silver mania

Last year I was working a lot with stones in different colours, but this year I'm much more into pieces in brightly polished silver. As I'm now on maternity leave, I can focus a lot more energy on that. At least for a couple of weeks, I hope!

Leaves and petals are things that inspire me a lot. Especially now that I'm longing for spring. New leaves on the trees, and the first flowers... We have a lot of magnolia trees here, and they're really one of my favourites! This picture was taken just around the corner from here spring 2007:

I love those huge white flowers.

This weekend, there won't be a lot of work done as it is carnaval in the south of the Netherlands and I've got my sister visiting. So that's something I'll enjoy for the next couple of days! After that, I'm going to continue working on some new things, among those a silver petal bracelet...

Oh, I'm OBSESSED with magnolia trees!!! I don't have one close by, but I'll hunt them out. :)
I love to watch the whole process from budding, to petals all over the ground! I can't wait to own a home so I can plant one! Great blog! :)
